Gallery director Polly Bielecka told ATG this will be one of only a few galleries in the capital purely dedicated to sculpture and it will present a range of 20th century British sculptors as well as exhibitions of contemporary artists.

In addition to the gallery Pangolin London have been given permission to place pieces of sculpture in public spaces around Kings Place and along the picturesque waterfront, which is what makes it possibly the largest curated sculpture space in London.

Despite the use of public space, Pangolin London is a privately owned commercial business and everything, inside and outside, is for sale. It is affiliated with, and owned by the same team, as Pangolin Editions, a sculpture foundry near Stroud in Gloucestershire which opened in 1985.

The inaugural exhibition at Pangolin London is Rock Music Rock Art featuring new work by sculptor Peter Randall-Page.

Designed by Dixon Jones, Kings Place is a new project housing galleries, two new state of the art concert halls, bars, restaurants and office space which among others will house The Guardian newspaper.
