The latest research into Chippendale’s neoclassical marquetry, revealing the often garish colours used in the process, will be presented along with a practical demonstration of marquetry techniques including a rare 18th century replica treadle saw.

The event will run from 9.30am to 3.30pm on Thursday, July 3 at The Auction Centre in Leyburn, North Yorkshire and the day will be led by expert marqueter Jack Metcalfe and furniture historian (and Tennants consultant) Adam Bowett. Tickets cost £30 and include lunch and refreshments.
