Amongst the lots up for grabs will be Biz Markie's diamond and platinum cassette tape pendant, estimated at $75,000-95,000, and Lil' Jon's diamond, fancy yellow diamond and gold Crunk Ain't Dead pendant necklace, both created by Jason of Beverly Hills.

The latter, at an enormous 7 1/2 x 6in (19 x 15cm), is in the Guinness Book of World Records as the world's largest diamond pendant and is expected to fetch $200,000-300,000.

Tupac Shakur, Notorious B.I.G, Missy Elliot, P. Diddy and Mary J. Blige are just some of the names whose jewellery will be amongst the approximately 50 pieces on offer, dating from 1980 to the present day.

A portion of the proceeds will go to Rush Community Affairs, Russell Simmon's coalition of charities including the Rush Philanthropic Arts Foundation, the Hip Hop Summit Action Network and the Diamond Empowerment Fund.
