Beryl Cook's Granny with her Pet Mouse from 1983 which made £58,000 at Bonhams on July 2.
The sale - the first opportunity to gauge her market since she passed - saw two works more than double the previous auction record for the artist.
Granny with her Pet Mouse from 1983 was knocked down at £58,000 (plus 20/12% buyer's premium), whilst The Dolphin from the same year made £55,000.
Consigned from the same private source, they both sold to the trade.
