Jack Vettriano’s Bluebird at Bonnevillemade £400,000 at Sotheby’s sale at the Gleneagles Hotel in Perthshire on August 29.
Bluebird, that sold on its low estimate to a UK private buyer, is the signature work from a series of works on the theme commissioned by Sir Terence Conran for the Bluebird Club on London's King Road in 1997.
A total of 13 works by Vettriano were offered of which eight sold.
