Police are on the look out for this couple, who attempted to steal antiques from dealers in Kensington Church Street.
Here they are seen on CCTV walking into Ian Butchoff's shop next door.
They were English, quite confident, making normal conversation and appeared to be used to visiting antiques shops. The woman is thought to have been carrying an empty printer box.
Apparently undeterred by security cameras, one of them tried to distract the staff while the other tried to remove the item from a cabinet. Fortunately the attempted theft was noticed by Chris Radford of Patrick Sandberg, who then ejected the couple from the premises.
Anyone who sees the couple or has any information is asked to contact the police, quoting the crime reference 5624926/07.
