The fair has been held since 1998, most recently in the school’s newly built sports hall, but the venue eventually proved too expensive.

Increased outgoings, falling attendance numbers at the door and fragile trading conditions made the event no longer financially viable.

However, the fair gave the association a good foothold in the southern area of their membership and although cancelled fairs generally stand a negligible chance of being revived, a spokesman for TVADA told ATG there would be a Spring fair next year if a suitable, affordable new venue could be found.

TVADA are now concentrating on their Autumn Fair at Radley College, near Oxford from October 27 to 29.
