A spokesperson for organisers DMG Antiques Fairs told ATG: "At the Shepton Mallet Antiques & Collectors Fair on Friday September 22 a bout of torrential rain resulted in the Edmund Rack building becoming flooded. The organisers took immediate action to try to minimise the amount of disruption caused, but the ferocity and speed with which the downpour occurred meant that a number of stallholders within the building were affected.

"Set-up for many was delayed as a result. DMG Antiques Fairs are in contact with those affected by the floods and have spoken with the showground about possible preventative measures to stop this happening in future bouts of bad weather."
