Match organiser Lennox Cato announced the total - up £400 on last year - as he and fellow match committee members presented the cheque for the final £7500 tranche of money raised to Maggie Hitchin from Breast Cancer Haven.
"The committee and Breast Cancer Haven would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who took part, whether as players, spectators, sponsors or donators," said Mr Cato, whose antique dealing business is based in Edenbridge, Kent. Over the past four years, the annual match has raised a total of £27,273.
The Haven offers a free programme to its
visitors costing on average £1000 each, so the money raised has helped at least 25 visitors feel the benefits of the care and treatments on offer to those suffering from breast cancer.
