Journey to the New World: London 1606 to Virginia 1607 charts the tale of the three small merchant ships, armed with a royal charter giving them authority to settle in the New World, which set sail from the Isle of Dogs. Eight months later they arrived in Virginia and built the fortified trading post of James Towne.

Exhibits will include a replica of the Discovery, the smallest of the three vessels, which will be moored at the West India Quay outside the museum.
