The Atlanta International Antique Fair will be modelled on the long-established and successful Original Miami Beach Antiques Fair.

The new fair was announced at this year’s Miami fair which closed on January 24. Take up was immediate with demand for places at the new show outstripping supply.

However the organisers are still looking for further applications as dmg vice president Rob Haynes explained: “Even though this fair is currently sold out, I am sure we will be able to accommodate more dealers. The primary reason is that this is a vetted fair and all those that have applied may not be accepted. We are also going to watch our product mix diligently in order to present a quality fair with a good balance of antiques.”

The fair will be held at the Cobb Galleria Convention Centre which is 20 minutes from Atlanta airport and next to three major road intersections.

The first show will run from October 6 to 8, 2006 and the second from January 5 to 7, 2007.
