At a charity lunch last week, HRH The Princess Royal presented Lyon & Turnbull’s vice chairman with the Scottish Business Achievement Award in recognition of his role in the rapid development of Lyon & Turnbull, now the leading independent auction house in Scotland.
Mr Roberts follows in the footsteps of some of Scotland’s greatest businessmen, including Sir Tom Farmer, Keith Miller, David Murray, Tom Hunter, Brian Souter and David Moulsdale, all of whom have been past winners.
Commenting on the award, Mr Roberts said: “I am delighted and honoured to be awarded the Scottish Business Achievement Award today. This award is not just for me, but for my fellow directors at Lyon & Turnbull, it is also a tremendous recognition for the whole Lyon and Turnbull team who have worked so hard to make the business such a success. The award also recognises our aspiration to develop the business on a global basis and I would like to take this opportunity to thank both our international and Scottish customers for helping us achieve this result.”
