A four-day exhibition to launch the company’s gulf branch was held last week in the Murjaan ballroom of the Madinat Jumeirah Conference Centre. They showcased highlights of forthcoming sales including

an important collection of Kiswah curtains, Iznik pottery, jewellery and watches.

Christie’s have appointed Lydia Limerick as their Middle-East representative. Based in Dubai since
2001, Ms Limerick has a background in events management.

Chief executive Edward Dolman said: “We hope to play a significant role in realising the Gulf’s potential as a new arts and cultural centre.”
