Jeffrey Lassaline, who has been head of Christie’s South Kensington’s silver department since 2000, joined the firm’s King Street silver department as a senior specialist to the team on August 8.

Mr Lassaline has already very successfully run the Omar Ramsden and Royal Sun Alliance silver sale at King Street this year.

He will also work with Alexandra Fennell and consultant Dr. Bodo Hofstetter in the gold box area. Harry Williams-Bulkely remains Head of the London Silver Department, with Anthony Phillips as the International Head of Department based in London.

The silver vacancy at Christie’s South Kensington has been filled by Michael Prevezer who took up his appointment as head of department on August 1.

Mr Prevezer brings a wealth of experience of the role. He joined Phillips over 30 years ago and became head of the Phillips/Bonhams silver department in 1993 leaving earlier this year following the re-organisation of the department.

“I am glad that I am back in the saddle again,” Mr Prevezer told ATG last month. “I recognize that this is a very active room and I hope that I can build on an already strong reputation”.
