One which has been pretty universally acclaimed is The Swan at Tetsworth in the High Street of the Oxfordshire village.

Twice winner of a BACA for best centre, this weekend it celebrates its tenth anniversary with a large selling exhibition entitled Antiques Through the Ages.

The show title may not be very imaginative but it sums up adequately just what will be on offer from January 28 to 30 between 10am and 6pm. All manner of stock, from vintage fashion and jewellery to Art Deco and period furniture, will be drawn from around 20 of the centre's 75 dealers, with prices ranging from around £60 to £15,000.

None of the items in the exhibition has been seen in the centre before and, in addition to the exhibition, the Swan's 40 showrooms will be open throughout.

Rita Woodman, manager of the Swan, said: "It seems hard to believe that The Swan is now 10 years old. The centre has gone from strength to strength during its first decade and this is the first exhibition the Swan has hosted."
