Kris Charamonde, Scott Diament and Rob Samuels, the three partners who founded the Palm Beach Jewelry & Antique Show with some success in February 2003, announced the acquisition of one of the East Coast’s top antiques fairs last month along with their future plans for the event.

“We will add another day to the show,” said Mr Charamonde, “which will make it a four-day event.”

Another change in the works, said Mr Samuels, will bring more variety to the show: “We plan to expand the mix of exhibitors, with a focus on adding more high-end dealers.”

From less than 200 dealers at the first outing in 1980, the Baltimore show founded by Mr Farbenbloom has grown to more than 550 exhibitors, drawn from across the United States, Canada, Europe, South America and Asia.

The 26th annual Baltimore Summer Antiques Show at the city’s Convention Center is scheduled for August 31-September 3, 2006.
