The Art Sales Index, founded in 1968 by Richard Hislop and run by his son Duncan since 1995, hold more than 2.9m international auction prices for oil paintings, works on paper, miniatures, prints, photographs and sculpture. LTB Holding’s chairman Louise T. Blouin MacBain, who has recently acquired a raft of arts-related publications, says the database, said that it will provide a key element to artinfo.com, an online platform for the arts due to launch in the autumn.
