Now that show, which attracts toy soldier enthusiasts from around the world and has grown immeasurably since the company took it over, is on the move and from December will be held at Alexandra Palace in North London.
Bryan Goodall, the chairman of Vectis, says: “We have always wanted to have a venue that would grow with the show and accommodate the increased numbers of collectors, dealers and members of the public that it attracts, and now we have.”
Vectis have booked the West Hall at Alexandra Palace which offers almost 3000 square metres of floor space and the first toy soldier extravaganza at the new venue will be on December 4.
“We will launch with some surprises in December. Next year two bumper shows will be held in June and December and the March event will be dropped.” said the chairman.

WITH a turnover last year in excess of £5 million, Vectis, who are based in Stockton-on-Tees, are well known as the world’s largest auctioneers of toys. Perhaps less well known is the fact that the company also organise shows and, for some years, have put together the successful London Toy Soldier Show at The Royal National Hotel in London’s Bloomsbury.
