Back in their gallery this week at 37 Bury Street, London SW1 they offer very different Asian fare when they continue their popular series of exhibitions of the past two years with Images From The Raj Part III, a further group of original photographs from India and South East Asia dating from the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
There are around 130 images on offer at prices from £200 to £1600, and all come from a single private collection.
These evocative pictures capture the atmosphere of the Raj through varied subject matter, including acrobats, fakirs and dancing girls; British regimental studies, both formal and informal, and studio portraits of maharajahs and other nobility. The show closes on May 21.

ST JAMES'S specialists in Asian art Jonathan Tucker and Antonia Tozer are among the many exhibitors who enjoyed success at the recent International Asian Art Fair in New York where they sold some fine early monumental pieces of sculpture.
