Among the most successful of the furniture dealers was Stablegate Antiques from Kent who sold a 10-seater Victorian dining table for a five-figure sum, and later the same customer bought a set of 12 matching chairs. In all, Stablegate sold 20 pieces.
Silver also had its moments with the Petworth specialist Nicholas Shaw clocking up another successful Tatton with 46 sales. Little wonder he is considering doubling the size of his stand at the next Tatton fair on March 4 to 7.
