Put together by Fira de Barcelona, one of Europe’s premier organisers of industrial and trade shows, Antiquaris Barcelona will be held in 2005 in Hall 8 of the Montjuic Exhibition Centre from February 5 to 13.
It was three years ago that it was decided to broaden the appeal of the fair with an influx of foreign exhibitors.
Among the 105 standing last February were such distinguished non-Spanish dealers as Blue Elephant from Holland, Fins de Siecle from Belgium and Metz from Germany.
So far dealers from France, England, Germany, Belgium, Holland and Italy have already requested stands for next February, entrenching the organisers’ conviction that they are well on the way to making this event an important centre for international antiques and art business.
International ambitions
EARLY bookings for Antiquaris Barcelona suggest that next year’s 29th annual staging of one of Spain’s top fairs will be markedly more international than it was earlier this year.
