Running until August 15 at the Espace Fontvieille is the ninth annual Monte Carlo Antiquités, International Antiques Fair. Organised by local operators Groupe Promocom, this is a predictably glamorous fair which last year attracted over 11,000 international visitors, among them HSH Prince Albert of Monaco.
The 40 or so exhibitors are mainly from Monaco, France and Italy and the quality is high, with all exhibiting dealers chosen by a selection committee and a vetting committee of 10 experts in attendance. Stock is varied but with an accent on the opulent. Admission is €12.
