One was a standard affair of a dappled pony on pedestal rockers which took £680, the other was the model shown right. The auctioneers, who reported business generally picking up since last summer, confirmed that this was actually a copy of the original Victorian model but the grey horse pulling a hansom cab was still sufficiently unusual for it to sell at a mid-estimate £1200.
