The next will be held this weekend from July 4 to 6 when some 40 exhibitors gather in the medieval tithe barn and an air-conditioned adjoining marquee on the lawn.

A fully vetted event, quite a few local dealers will be in attendance, among them Tom King Smith from Stow on the Wold with period furniture, Naas Antiques with decorative items and Catherine Hunt with early Chinese ceramics and 19th century Chinese textiles.

As the exhibitors move in, film star Bob Hoskins moves out. He has been at Stanway in recent weeks playing Sir Pitt in the Hollywood adaptation of Thackeray’s Vanity Fair; Stanway doubled up as Sir Pitt’s house Queens Crawley.
Admission to the North Cotswolds fair is £4.50.
