Chairman Chris Ewbank invited a packed room of more than 60 students to sign up for SOFAA membership at a special presentation at the Institute on November 7.
The measure is aimed at maintaining and developing standards through continuing assessment among those entering the profession and engendering respect and trust among colleagues and the public as a result.
Mr Ewbank praised the faculty at the institute for its unique facilities and expertise and, with other delegates, took a large number questions from the students, promising to look into some of the matters raised – such as the possibility of introducing a student liaison officer for SOFAA.
The day was hosted by Dr Scott Anderson, faculty course leader.
