He established this fixture in 1985 but returns after a four-year break. Exhibitors from as far afield as Yorkshire will be on parade but the majority are from the South of England. So popular is this revival that a number of Bailey regulars, such as Nicholas Shaw and Peter Barham, will dash off immediately on the close to set up their stands at Olympia.

“We have a very large database of customers in the South and while we have tried to welcome them to other smaller fairs such as Billingshurst, it is always preferable to stage smart events without involving marquees, especially in hot weather,” says Robert.

Expect around 57 stands.
