The gallery appears to be thriving and from July 23 to September 6 presents its summer exhibition The Graduate. As the title implies, exhibits will be drawn from the recent output of graduating students from some of the country’s leading art colleges.

The show at 90 Mount Street, London W1 covers many aspects of metalworking, from jewellery to silver and metal body moulds to steel light fixtures.

Among the jewellery exhibitors is Susanna Fyson who won the Goldsmiths’ Future of Design Award for Jewellery and Beth Legg who won the Hanley Foundation of Design Award for best use of materials at this year’s New Designers Show.

The silver section includes work by MA graduates from the Royal College of Art, Sidsel Dorph-Jensen, Rebecca Anne Johnson and Claire Spencer as well as Zoe Prophet from the Kent Institute of Art and Design who won this year’s Goldsmiths’ Future of Design Award for Silversmithing.

The Metal Gallery intends to make this summer selling show an annual event, providing young artists with a high-profile platform to launch their careers.
