Topping the bill and establishing a new auction record for a piece of Du Paquier when it sold for £210,000 against an estimate of £25,000-40,000, was this 61/2in (16.5cm) high tankard of c.1725. It was bought by the Vienna dealer C. Bednarczyk against competition from a telephone underbidder.
