For decades Germany’s top antiquarian book event, this fair is developing an international dimension and among the record 95 exhibitors are booksellers from Switzerland, Austria, France, Holland, Israel and the UK. The British regulars include Bernard Shapero and Bernard Quaritch and among the 15 exhibitors making their debut are two more from London, Sims Reed and Sokol Books. The organisers of the fair, Verband Deutscher Antiquare (the German association of antiquarian booksellers), have overseen a complete redesign for this year’s fair for which admission is €4 on opening day, then €2.

NOW in its 42nd year, the Stuttgart Antiquarian Book Fair will be bigger than ever when it runs from January 31 to February 2 at Wurttembergischer Kunstverfein.
