In an email to the Antiques Trade Gazette, David Smith of EW Services said he had just refused to allow the programme makers to attend the Milton Keynes Antiques Fair.
“Fair organisers who really care about the wellbeing of their customers (the dealers who book to stand at their events) should not allow this programme to be made at their events. Sadly, all too many see the free publicity, and consequent swelling of numbers through the door, and ignore what the dealer’s think,” he commented.
However, the BBC did not appear to be too upset by his complaints; a press officer told the Gazette: “The Bargain Hunt team have never been to Milton Keynes, nor are we planning to go.”
Bar-gain Hunt as fairs say no
FOLLOWING last week’s Dealers’ Diary report that Bargain Hunt was banned from the Great Northern Antiques and Collectors’ Fair, another organiser says the TV show is not welcome at his event.
