The fair is located in the main rooms of Scone Palace but such is the demand for stand space that the organisers managed to persuade the palace administrator to let them have use of an additional room to accommodate some of the waiting list.
But the pressure might be eased somewhat next year since after eight years as an annual fixture Scone will be staged twice in 2004, in February and November.
Many Galloway regulars are on parade, among them Koos Limburg, M&N Oriental Rugs and Mir Russki, while five making their debut at the event include David Deacon Antique Fishing and Piscatoriana (no mistaking their speciality), Chosen Antiques and Garret & Hazlehurst.
Admission is £4.
An extra Scone
NORTH Yorkshire organisers Galloway Antiques Fairs have events coming thick and fast this month and less than a week after shutting up shop at Dunscombe Park in their home county, they head north for The Scone Palace Antiques Fair, Perth from November 14 to 16. The popular Scottish fixture has been fully booked for some time with 33 exhibitors.
