For decades the Paris Biennale has been one of the world’s very top fairs but it has also long had very much a French flavour. Those making their debut reinforce the organisers’ commitment to making the event more international.

Among the UK dealers joining are Daniel Katz, Partridge and the Pelham Galleries, while from The Netherlands come the well-known Oriental ceramics specialists Vanderven & Vanderven and from Italy the Old Masters dealer Moretti.

Noted Canadian dealer in 19th and 20th century paintings Landau Fine Art is joining the Biennale and from New York come Blumka, Beauvais Carpets and The Chinese Porcelain Company.

Jorn Gunther has signed up from Germany, Oceanic arts dealer Philippe Guimot from Belgium, and Jan Krugier from Switzerland. One of the very top Paris dealers Ariane Dandois, who deals in 19th century furniture and objects, rejoins the Biennale.

Ten countries are represented among the 107 exhibitors at the Paris fair this year.
