Bonham’s will be releasing a complete list of recent new appointments once they have been finalised. In the meantime the Antiques Trade Gazette has heard from several former Phillips employees who have taken up new roles.
James Rawlin, head of 20th century pictures, including Impressionist and Modern paintings at Bonhams and a board director, is now working as a freelance agent and as a consultant to London gallery Hazlitt, Holland and Hibbert. He can be contacted on 020 7625 9643.
Jenna Burlingham, a specialist in the modern British pictures department of Bonhams, is now working for London dealer Offer Waterman.
Lara Grieve, a specialist in the modern British pictures department has joined the modern British pictures department of Christie’s.
Two other long-standing former Phillips specialists who have moved on are Penny Bingham, works of art specialist and Anne Marie Benson, textiles specialist.

Since the expected round of redundancies were announced at Bonhams in February as a result of the merger with Phillips, several senior staff have voluntarily left the company, some, if not all of whom are expected to be replaced.
