A plethora of estate-fresh, antique adornments included this early 19th century diamond necklace and pair of Victorian diamond earrings which had been owned by the vendor’s family since the late 1940s.

Composed of 35 circular ‘target’ clusters, mounted in gold and set in silver, the necklace was bought on the telephone by a dealer at £33,000.

The earrings weighed approximately 7.5 carats but were actually quite light on the lobes and they sold to a dealer at £39,000. Both prices were subject to buyer’s premium of 15/10 per cent plus VAT.
