The latter clock event was originally scheduled for January 2002 but its move to April and an exclusivity clause banning any concurrent exhibition of jewellery at Palexpo has forced the Salon de Mars out.

This is thought particularly hard on the Salon de Mars which does have some jewellery but is basically a showcase for 100 dealers in both antiques and contemporary art. The horological salon is a trade only event comprising 17 top watchmakers.
