Auctioneer Patrice Biget of Alençon will be holding his second annual “Horses under the Hammer” sale at the Haras National du Pin, one on France’s top stud farms, situated on the main Caen-Le Mans road.
Illustrated right is a selection of prints and books from the sale including de la Guérnière’s Ecole de la Cavalerie, 1733. Also on offer will be 19th and 20th century bronzes and Modern and Old Master paintings, including an oil on canvas, L’Effort by Jean Chevolleau and a gouache, Cheval Cabré by Léandre.
