The premier Connoisseur’s Antiques Fair, as the event is titled, was originally scheduled for November 2001, but it was one of many events cancelled when the New York armories were returned to military service following the September 11 terrorist attacks.

Last year’s event planning saw veteran New York organiser Sandford Smith at the helm but – offered a better deal on stand rates and advertising – the AADLA’s executive committee have voted for a change in management for this show which showcases 60-plus of the country’s pre-eminent galleries and dealers.
