Not that Chinese furniture is strictly
exotic; it has more of a minimalist feel – an example being this
18th century red lacquer corner cabinet, which is one of a pair priced at £7250 – and the 30 or so pieces in this show all conform to the criteria of purity of line, simplicity of form and classical proportions.

When this gallery opened just off Bond Street it was refreshing to see a Mayfair gallery stacked with tribal art. The exhibitions have branched out a lot from just tribal work, as is apparent from this collection.
Prices range from £1500 to around £15,000.
