Mr Zanzotto, an avid book collector for over 30 years, is keen for Bloomsbury to be seen as “the definitive point of reference” for rare books, prints, maps, works on paper, posters and autographs and plans to double the number of sales currently being held. He stressed the importance of the specialists and their knowledge: “I believe that globalisation necessarily means specialisation and at Stocklight we are focused. The key to successful auctions is of course in sourcing the material, but deep specialist knowledge is vital and must not be diversified.”
