Speaking from his Northern Antiques Fair in Harrogate (which with Tatton Park he was allowed to keep with the blessing of the liquidators), Mr Bailey told the Antiques Trade Gazette: “I have just had it confirmed that I am free from Bailey Fairs Ltd and the creditors have accepted my offer to buy back my full stable of fairs. I now own my own venues, company car and offices.”

The Essex organiser said that since his venues have discovered his situation, they have all pledged their support to him personally.
He will stage all his fairs scheduled for the rest of this year, the next being at Buxton in mid-October, but he will definitely reduce his list for next year. However, he pledged to keep his events at Claridge’s in London and the G-Mex Centre, Manchester.
