The Phillips deal means that The Auction Channel have now signed up five major players in the auction field; as well as Bonhams, they have come to agreements with Brooks, Antiquorum and Allsop & Co.
Phillips’ timetable of sales on The Auction Channel begins with coins at Bond Street on April 30, followed by jewellery on May 18 at Bayswater, and then a cricket sale on June 2 which will also be broadcast on Sky Sports.
Bonhams have already started with a sale of the prints and watercolours of Sir William Russell Flint on March 31. Entertainment sales follow on April 21 and 22.
