Mr Lipitch described this 2ft 6in wide by 191/2in deep (76 x 50cm) table as “the best piece of untouched walnut I have ever seen”.
The table was a sophisticated form of early Queen Anne furniture, with a quarter veneered top above an architecturally moulded frieze and re-entrant corners on cabriole legs and pad feet.
