DACS

The Design and Artists Copyright Society (DACS) is a rights management organisation that was formed in 1984.

It now acts both in the UK and internationally, collecting and distributing royalties to artists and their estates. It acts as a collecting society for the Artist’s Resale Right that was introduced in 2006 following an EU directive.

DACS is also now a member organisation of the Copyright Licensing Agency (CLA).

DACS distribute £65,000 in resale rights

THE Design and Artists Copyright Society (DACS) has made its second Droit de Suite pay-out to artists. It means that the collecting agency has now distributed over £65,000 since the resale levy was implemented in February. More than 140 artists have now received payments from DACS.
