Curated Auctions, based in Eltham in London, is run by specialist auctioneer Rachael Osborn-Howard. She previously worked at Bonhams until 2017 before leaving to run the European works of art and sculpture sales at Chiswick Auctions until 2021. She then launched her new venture the following year.

The firm specialises in sculpture, decorative arts, European works of art, clocks and ‘out of the ordinary’ items.

Mentmore (Towers) in Buckinghamshire was built in 1852-4 by Sir Joseph Paxton – creator of the Crystal Palace for the Great Exhibition – and Paxton’s son-in-law GH Stokes for Baron Mayer Amschel de Rothschild.
