One of the potential stars of the sale of Old Master paintings and drawings held by Aguttes at Drouot on March 25 is this still-life by Louyse Moillon (1609/10-1696), a 17th century Parisian artist who specialised in this particular genre.

A sale of Old Masters held by Aguttes (25/23% buyer’s premium) included this portrait of the youthful Marie Antoinette.

One of the highlights of the sale of Impressionist and Modern Art at Aguttes on November 16 in Neuilly is this work from 1901 by Pierre Bonnard (1867-1947), 'La Charmille'.

A highlight of the Contemporary Art sale at Aguttes in Neuilly on October 25 will be this large 7ft 6in x 2ft 11in (2.3m x 89cm) painting in tempera on canvas by Alfredo Volpi (1896-1988).

Old Master paintings come up for sale throughout the year in France but the summer season traditionally mounts a number of dedicated auctions in the field.
