Company of Arts Scholars

The Worshipful Company of Arts Scholars is the 110th Livery Company in the City of London. It was brainchild of the late Jonathan Horne (1940-2010) and Lord Brooke of Sutton Mandeville.

The Arts Scholars runs an educational charitable fund and conducts activities to support businesses relating to conservation, restoration, shipping and insurance.

Viney becomes the Master

The Company of Arts Scholars has been officially recognised as the 110th Livery Company of the City of London with the presentation of the Letters Patent by the Lord Mayor at the Mansion House.

On February 11 the Court of Aldermen formally admitted the Worshipful Company of Arts Scholars as the 110th Livery Company of the City of London.

Arts Guild honours officers

On November 27, the Guild of Arts Scholars, Dealers and Collectors took another important step in its development with the installation of the Master, Wardens and Court of Assistants. The Guild represents all those with a commercial interest in the world of historic arts as well as collectors and curators. It was registered by the City of London in September.

Guild established for art market professionals

A City livery company for art market professionals could be only 10 years away following the official registration of The Guild of Arts Scholars, Dealers and Collectors by the City of London.
