Beaussant Lefèvre

Beaussant Lefèvre are an auction house in France which was established in 1990 by Eric Beaussant and Pierre-Yves Lefèvre. They conduct sales at the Hôtel Drouot in Paris.

The company hold regular auctions – each dedicated to a specific field such as coins, works of art, Asian art, military memorabilia and jewellery.


Russian Imperial vases reach €520,000

A pair of ornamental blue and gold vases made by the Manufacture Impériale in St Petersburg (c.1825-30) soared to €520,000 (£335,000) at Beaussant-Lefèvre on April 10.

FRANCE: FRANCIS FRITH (1822-98) was the focus of attention of Beaussant-Lefèvre’s sale of 19th century photographs at Drouot on January 25, as expert Pierre-Marc Richard claimed a world record auction price of €23,000 (£14,400), almost double-estimate, for a Francis Frith photograph: an 1858 view of The Pyramids of El-Geezeh from the south-west (pictured).
