The 7in (17cm) high vase, inherited by a Whitchurch couple, was fully signed and a cylindrical form finely worked in with a trellis of flowers and foliage against a celadon green background.
Both the form and the ground colour are atypical, suggesting this was among the workshop’s later productions from the 1910s.
The estimate in Shrewsbury on November 1 had been a mere £200-300.
