That was the question that arose after a report in ATG No 1950, in which we correctly reported a Clarion spokesman as saying Mr Lester had never been co-owner with Clarion of the June Olympia antiques fair.

Mr Lester then contacted us to assert that he was, indeed, still co-owner, so we approached Clarion chief executive Simon Kimble to clarify the position.

Here is his statement:

"In 2009, the parties entered into a joint venture agreement re the Summer Olympia Antique Fair. Each party contractually owns a 50 per cent beneficial interest in that joint venture. The parties retain that equal ownership interest as of this date with equal voice in show management and organisation through a joint management board."
