Bounced cheques – man arrested

17 September 2012Written by ATG Reporter

A 51-year-old man has been arrested in connection with ‘bounced cheques’ at an antiques fair.

Staffordshire Police told ATG: "We received a report on August 20 in relation to several complaints made by traders at an antiques fair held at Bingley Hall, Stafford, on August 10-12, where cheques issued were subsequently returned unpaid. We can confirm that, after a joint investigation between Staffordshire Police and Norfolk Constabulary, a 51-year-old man from Norfolk has been arrested in connection with this incident."

Enquiries are ongoing. ATG understands that other fairs could also have been affected.
